We'll be together soon on the trip. I will be dropping off the kids to my mom later on this evening so I can have a few days alone then head off with Ryan on this trip. We definitely need the time to reconnect and get back to that bad ass stability everyone loves us for. I had a small chat with him already, but he's heading home now. He usually gets the idea when it turns from all laughter with us to strictly "ass home now," he gets the idea. But, save dances and drinks for me and shove John and Ryan together to do something. I need good one on one time with my girl.

“Watch it young lady, callin’ me old now.”  The werewolf teased.  “Damn him, those pictures were supposed to be burned up. No evidence left to show anyone of the um phases as you put it we went through.”  Of course, he was merely joking.  Roman thought of those times fondly with her father and his wife hanging out.  “Awe, aren’t you a sweetheart.”

No doubt, it would be nice.  Despite his thorny personality at times, Roman did miss the old group of friends, including her father, Ivan and others that all used to hang around and cause some trouble…mainly with their wives in a fun manner.  “Might have to call him up, do a big bbq.  Avoid the kiddos so we can discuss all the trouble we used to get into.  Would hate to give y’all  kids ideas,” he smirked.+

Roman shook his head.  “No darlin’, you have done enough spendin’ some time with this old man.  I appreciate it hon, nice to be seen.”

Emily couldn’t help but smile at Roman’s words. It was nice to hear someone speak fondly of her dad, especially someone who had known him for so long. “He really is old now,” she laughed, shaking her head. “But you should see the old photos—he loves to show them off, even if he swears he was just ‘living his best life’ back then.”

When Roman mentioned the pierced ear and eyeliner, she raised an eyebrow playfully. “You bet I saw those pictures! But hey, we all go through those phases, right? I mean, look at how stylish you are now,” she said, gesturing to his current look. The warmth in her cheeks wasn’t lost on her; she felt a flicker of nostalgia mixed with amusement.

“It would be great to see you both catch up,” she continued, her mind drifting to the friendships that had shaped her life. “I know he misses his old friends. It would probably bring back a lot of memories, both good and cringe-worthy.” She chuckled, imagining her dad reminiscing about the past. “But hey, that’s part of what makes it all worth it, right?”

"Is there anything else I can get you besides the coffee?"
